The suite felt cozy and welcoming, just like being at home. the breakfast was outstanding and featured delicious poached eggs - it was the icing on the cake! 🍳

Very central location, within walking distance of Bow Trust Museum. Easy to find, walking distance to a cathedral and a castle. Fabulous gorgeous rooms with luxury toiletries and delicious breakfast.

We always choose to stay at Forty Winks Guest House & Residence whenever we are in Durham. the property is fairly clean. - the breakfast is amazing, incredible, and reasonably priced. - the location is stunning, close to the center and night life. - Situated atop a brow on South St, we enjoyed the view of the River Wear, Durham Castle, and Durham Cathedral. - There are two exceptional restaurants nearby.

The room was spotless, the beds were super comfy, and it had great amenities like Wi-Fi and a hair dryer, just a short walk from the train station.

I recently stayed at Forty Winks in Durham for a weekend getaway. The interior design was absolutely stunning, with a unique and stylish decor that really stood out. The room itself was immaculate, comfortable, and had all the amenities you could ask for, including a Sony TV and Nespresso coffee maker. The breakfast was exceptional, with delicious food prepared by a chef from the owner's top-rated restaurant, Zen. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the already incredible experience. I highly recommend Forty Winks for a memorable and luxurious stay.
